About Ananda Chandra College

Ananda Chandra College, established in 1942 during the Quit India Movement, has been a key institution in the educational development of Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. Affiliated with the University of North Bengal, the college has built a strong reputation for academic excellence and balanced co-curricular engagement. Accredited by NAAC with a B grade, it offers undergraduate Honours and General programmes in twenty subjects under the B.A. and B.Sc. streams, along with a postgraduate programme in Bengali. This National Seminar aims to provide a platform for LIS professionals, academicians, researchers, policymakers, and technologists to discuss these transformations and the changing roles of library professionals. Submission Guidelines

Author(s) is asked to use following format for the submission of manuscript.

  • All papers should be typed on Microsoft Word-version.
  • Paper size should be A4, Portrait of size 8.5" x 11" with Margins: 1" (top & bottom); 1.5" (left & right).
  • All text should be typed in Times New Roman Font with size 12 and single-spaced.
  • Headings and subheadings must be in Bold font, left justified and numbered according to Level of heading as below: 1. First Level Heading; 1.1 Second Level Heading; 1.1.1 Third Level Heading.
  • The main title of your paper must not exceed 100 characters. This includes letters, spaces, and punctuation.
  • Manuscript should not have the author's full name, and affiliations along with an email of author(s), author biography or any other identification of the author/institute.
  • Two files must be submitted: (i) the manuscript without author details, and (ii) a title page containing the author’s details.
  • An abstract of length not more than 200 words should be supplied.
  • Few keywords (6) must be given after the abstract.
  • Size of the paper to be kept within 3000-5000 words.
  • Reference should be at the end of paper in APA-7th edition format with proper in-text citations.
  • Illustrations such as photographs, charts, graphs, drawings, and diagrams in high resolution and it should be labelled and mentioned in description. (e.g., Table. 1, Figure. 2, Diagram. 3).
  • Research Paper (Format): Title - Abstract - Introduction - Literature Review - Methodology - Data Analysis & Interpretation - Conclusion - References.
  • Review Paper (Format): Title - Abstract - Introduction - Method of Review (how literature was selected) - Thematic / Conceptual Review (core part) - Research Gaps - Critical Analysis & Discussion - Conclusion - References.
Publication Ethics

Authors must submit only original papers (with a similarity index below 10%.). Submissions containing AI-generated content will not be accepted. All papers will be screened using plagiarism detection software, and those failing to meet originality standards will be rejected.

Submission Process

Submissions should be made via email to: nationalseminar1942@gmail.com with documents in Word format. The manuscript files will be subjected to a double-blind peer review process. All accepted papers will be published in a Conference Proceedings/Edited Book with ISBN. .
